Go to http://www.w3schools.com and learn how to do it like a professional. This is the best site to go.
Also, use Inkscape (www.inkscape.org) to do the design.

Other Replys:I know you said you already have a host, but have you considered using Yahoo Sitebuilder. Ive made two sites that get a lot of praise using Sitebuilder.... it%26#039;s so easy and you can make a very professional looking site. And Yahoo has several plans that are quite cheap.
