Why does Yahoo treat email from my new web site as Spam? Tests on multiple hosts prove it's not

I am using the CubeCart e-commerce system. It would appear that Yahoo treats email from every single cart - of the thousands that are out there - as Spam. Input from any email gurus would be very welcome.

Why does Yahoo treat email from my new web site as Spam? Tests on multiple hosts prove it%26#039;s not host-related.

Yahoo! promotes a system called DomainKeys to authenticate mail. The server sending mail to Yahoo! declares that the message is genuine by digitally signing the message and publishing the public key in its DNS records. Yahoo!%26#039;s servers will check up on that signature when it arrives. It requires an add-on to your mail server but several servers are already supported.

Outside of that, it%26#039;s important to not look like spam. Check that the message content is not %26#039;spammy%26#039;. Some marketing phrases will count against you when the server evaluates the message. It might be hard to get around that if every CubeCart sends the same email... it will look like the same message is coming from hundreds of different IP addresses.

Other things you can try:

- Make sure that your mail server%26#039;s IP address is not blacklisted. Some blacklists cover entire ISPs.

- If possible, set up your DNS so that the outgoing mail server is on the list of mail exchangers (MX records) and have the reverse IP address lookup come up with your domain name.

- Add SPF (%26quot;Sender Policy Framework%26quot;) records to your DNS. (Couldn%26#039;t hurt.)
